All-laser Custom LASIK

LASIK stands for laser in situ keratomileusis, which means using a laser underneath a corneal flap (in situ) to reshape the cornea (keratomileusis). Dr. Kalski performs All-laser Custom LASIK, the most technologically advanced LASIK surgery available. This is a completely personalized surgery based on your individual vision measurements.  A series of tests are performed to determine the unique imperfections of your eyes. Dr. Kalski then uses a highly specialized laser (excimer laser) specifically designed to treat nearsightedness, farsightedness, and/or astigmatism and your eyes’ unique characteristics.  This treatment will improve vision and reduce or eliminate your need for glasses or contact lenses by altering the shape of your cornea, which is the transparent front covering of the eye.

Blade Free LASIK (Intralase)

The intralase method is a 100% blade free approach to creating your corneal flap. During the LASIK procedure, Dr. Kalski creates a precise, thin hinged corneal flap using the Intralase laser.  Dr. Kalski then lifts this flap to expose the underlying corneal tissue. The excimer laser is used to reshape the cornea in a unique, pre-specified, customized pattern for each patient. Dr. Kalski  gently repositions the flap onto the underlying cornea without sutures after the excimer laser portion is completed.

Customvue  Laser

Dr. Kalski performs a series of tests prior to All-Laser Custom LASIK to determine the individual characteristics of your vision. Like a fingerprint, all eyes are unique.  By creating a 3D map with highly precise wavescan technology, the unique imperfections of your eyes are determined. Dr. Kalski designs a custom treatment for each of his patients based on these measurements, resulting in outstanding visual results. View Video
