MIGS (Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery) for Cataract patients with glaucoma
If you have glaucoma, your eye’s natural drainage system works less efficiently over time. Dr. Kalski is now able to treat glaucoma at the same time as your cataract surgery by performing MIGS (Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery).
Goniotomy Procedure
Goniotomy is an implant free procedure that is performed by removing diseased tissue that blocks fluid from flowing out of the eye. Once removed, fluid will safely flow out through the natural pathways of the eye. After this procedure, most of Dr. Kalski’s patients achieve better eye pressure control with fewer or no medications.
iStent® Procedure
The iStent® Procedure is an innovative way of treating glaucoma. During the procedure, the iStent® Trabecular Micro-Bypass is placed into the drainage area of your eye, creating a permanent opening that improves the eye’s natural fluid outflow. The iStent® lowers and controls the eye pressure by improving the outflow of fluid in your eye. After iStent® implantation, most of Dr. Kalski’s patients achieve better eye pressure control with fewer or no medications.
