I am 67 years old and have worn glasses to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism in both eyes since I was 2 years old. My vision has never been great, even with glasses or contact lenses. For the first time in my life I can wake up in the morning and see the world without glasses. After having surgery with Dr. Kalski 3 weeks ago my vision is better than it has been my whole life. My experience with De. Kalski and his staff has been amazing. He is a kind, considerate Dr. who will walk you through every step of the procedure as well as call before and after the surgery. He is a true genius, miracle worker and compassionate man. His staff is kind, friendly, knowledgeable and always willing to answer any questions or concerns. The office visits, surgery and also surgery at the South Florida Surgery center were enjoyable experiences made even better by the fact that the final outcome was excellent vision with no glasses needed. I would like to thank everyone involved with my surgery especially Dr. Kalski, for their kindness, expertise and excellent care. Laser Cataract surgery with a multifocal lens
My cataract surgery with Dr. Kalski in early 2021 has enabled me to see long distance and read in both eyes without glasses or contacts. I was referred to Dr. Kalski because years earlier I had multiple RK and LASIK surgeries, which made both the measurement and the actual surgery more complicated. My result after surgery with Dr. Kalski for cataracts could not have been better. I feel like I have young eyes again. If you choose Dr. Kalski for your surgery, I feel confident that you will have the best possible result. I DID!

Laser cataract surgery with a multifocal lens, (prior RK and LASIK)
I underwent cataract surgery on both eyes in April of 2021. Having my cataracts corrected with multifocal lenses has been awesome! Of course, it’s great to be able to see clearly from the time I wake up until I go to sleep – but not only that… Who knew that there were dust bunnies on my popcorn ceiling?! Who knew the leaves on the tree out back had different shades of green? I can drive without having to make U-turns since I can now read street signs in time to change lanes if I need to. Right after the surgeries, I found myself squinting at my computer monitor. Apparently that was a habit – which is no longer necessary. I also found myself forgetting to take off my sunglasses indoors – because my vision indoors with my sunglasses on now is better than it was without them before so I didn’t notice I still had them on. There has even been a spiritual component. For example the song: Say I won’t by Mercy Me begins with these words: Today it all begins, I’m seeing my life for the very first time, through a different lens. Those words are even more meaningful spiritually now that I’ve experienced “seeing my life through a different lens” physically. I appreciate the care and dedication of Dr. Kalski and his awesome team – especially Mary Jo and Brenda.

I had cataract surgery 1 week ago. Happy to advise my vision is clear and getting clearer every day. It’s so nice being able to see clearly when I’m driving.
The office staff is professional, accommodating and very caring. I had several visits prior, where my eyes were terrible. Their staff made me comfortable and Dr. Kalski provided superb medical care.
Dr. Kalski explained everything during surgery step by step, which was very comforting. His medical care before, during and post surgery was professional, caring and aided my recovery exponentially.

Having surgery is a very frightening experience for me. However, I must say this one was a pleasant one. I have never had the doctor doing my surgery call the night before and after surgery. I had a severe cataract in my right eye and had lost all vision. My optometric physician mentioned that I should contact Dr. Kalski, a Laser Specialist for an evaluation. I made an appointment with his office on January 19, 2019. I was on time, did not have to wait, the treatment of his staff was friendly, helpful and very professional. There was a follow up appointment to determine the procedure for the cataract surgery. Same professional treatment. Surgery was scheduled for Jan. 29 at South Miami Surgery center, again on time, helpful and professional treatment. Dr. Kalski called the day before the surgery (unheard of). I was lucky enough to be referred to Dr. Kalsi about two months ago, by my eye doctor who has been treating me for years. He had been insisting that I be examined by Dr. Kalski for my cataract. I had my cataract surgery 3 weeks ago and could not be happier. The cataract in mu right eye had grown to the point that the vision in that eye could not be corrected to any better than 20/70. In just a few painless, stress-free minutes, Dr. Kalski removed the cataract, corrected my astigmatism and inserted a permanent lens in m right eye. The very next day I has perfect 20/20 vision! My mother was Dr. Kalski’s patient because she had a serious eye problem that the doctors of Bascom Palmer Institute could not diagnose after numerous visits over the course of many months. Frankly, the doctors there seemed uninterested. Eventually, we gave up on Bascom Palmer and were referred to Dr. Kalski. Within minutes of examining my mother’s eyes, Dr. Kalski was able to properly diagnose the problem.
