A Chalazion (Stye) is a small sebaceous cyst of the eyelid which occurs when a Meibomian gland is blocked. An inflammatory response occurs to the clogged oil. Treatment includes warm compresses, antibiotic and anti-inflammatory eye drops and ointments, and antibiotic pills. Steroid injections are also used. Dr. Kalski performs incision and drainage of the chalazion when unresponsive to medicines.
